Life Sciences Focus
Codeveloped and teaching a full year general physics sequence focusing on pre health and life-sciences majors. Also developed online active and adaptive courses both traditional algebra and calculus-based, and algebra-based course with biomedical relevance.
Describe the courses that you teach for life sciences students
I teach mainly introductory general physics courses. Presently, teaching a full year algebra-based course with numerous biomedical examples on an active, interactive and adaptive platform.
What is your approach to teaching physics for life science students?
We have created videos with experts in the biomedical field to connect physics to specific biomedical examples and fields. Content, questions and assessments have also been created via biomedical examples. Trying to teach physics concepts more in the context of experiences and examples relevant to life-sciences students.
