Highlights: Have your students "read, process and share" with this Active Learning Biomedically Relevant Physics TEXT on 1-D Motion in the Human Body
Abstract: 1-D Motion in the Human Body is the first chapter of a developing curriculum of biomedically-relevant educational material for introductory physics geared toward pre-health students. As an entry into biomedical relevance, this chapter begins with standard physics examples (i.e. people walking, balls, planes, etc.) combined with biomedical expert videos to scaffold students' foundational physics learning. Formative Check for Understanding Questions (CFU) are integrated in the TEXT to encourage active reading, processing and sharing in class. Instructors are encouraged to adapt as needed to best fit institution/course needs.
