Highlights: Introductory 2D kinematics with 2D forces using Newton's laws in the context of human biomechanics
Abstract: This is the culminating submodule of "Biomechanics - Motion and Forces" (see its Overview for how things fit together.) After exploring 1D motion with 2D forces, this submodule introduces 2D kinematics with 2D forces using Newton's Laws in the context of human movement and humans moving objects. There is a large conceptual focus, with students predicting and interpreting their own data. Modeling the human body as a point object and looking at sequences of simple motion segments are key differences from the standard mechanics approach.
