Highlights: Introduction to human motion - kinematic activities of 1D scenarios of human movement
Abstract: This 1D motion submodule is part of the "Biomechanics Motion and Forces" module (see its Overview) If kinematics is explored first before forces, these 1D motion activities can be used before the 1D Motion and Forces module. The human motion scenarios are modeled as sequences of basic movement segments of real human motion. The human body is modeled as point object, with the body's center of mass taken as the point object, assuming, for simplicity, a fixed center of mass. Included are graph prediction worksheets for the lab activities, which use video analysis or motion sensors. Both PDF and Word versions are provided.
