Highlights: Introductory module involving kinematics and Newton's laws in the context of human biomechanics
Abstract: These prediction worksheet activities are part of the "Biomechanics Motion and Forces" module. After exploring 1D vertical forces and motion, in the previous submodule, the student moves on, in this submodule, to 2D forces, but motion still in 1D. Friction related to movement is introduced. The role of friction is expanded to 2D motion in the 2D Motion with 2D Forces submodule, which follows. Human motion or human-caused motion is the focus. Students have to determine in which motion segments friction has to occur and in which direction. Force diagrams now include friction. PDF and Word versions provided .
