Highlights: Prediction worksheet for 2D motion and force graphs and diagrams for Stand to Lunge with procedure
Abstract: The Lunge worksheet with sample procedure is part of the Biomechanics 2D submodule, which builds on activities in the Biomechanics 1D submodules. In both, students model and analyze complex real human motion as a sequence of simple motion and force segments, with the whole person modeled as a point object, typically at the center of mass. Lab activities, which follow, involve students taking, interpreting, and analyzing data on their own movement. The 2D prediction sheets prepare students to interpret real data, which is messy. In the process, they can solidify understanding of kinematic and force-motion relationships
Resource Types: In-class activity, Lab, Pre-class assignment, Homework, Instructor supplement, Student reading
